Developing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) in the UK is extremely important and a strategic approach to grow the sport and develop community, and enhance the overall quality of coaches and training is imperative and thanks to the continued growth of the UKBJJA this mission is well on route to achieve this.
As secretary I’d like to support the other board members in…
- Creating a Strong Network: Build relationships with existing BJJ schools, instructors, and practitioners in the UK. Networking can foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support among different academies.
- Organizing Events: Host workshops, seminars, and competitions that bring together practitioners of all levels. These events enhance skill development, encourage camaraderie, and raise the profile of BJJ within the UK.
- Promoting Competitions: Create a series of tournaments that provide opportunities for practitioners to test their skills. Ensure that events are well-organized, cater to all skill levels, and promote sportsmanship.
- Focusing on Community Engagement: Build a strong local community.
- Gathering Feedback and Adapting: Regularly seek feedback from affiliated schools and practitioners helping to promote BJJ and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
