Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Referee Course Level 3 (intro) – Southampton

This exclusive event is being offered by the UKBJJA in partnership with Enyo, Women’s Submission Only Jiu Jitsu.
Women play an important role in the UK BJJ community across every facet of the sport, this training course is part of the UKBJJA’s commitment to empowering female sports leaders in our communities. This is an ethos that Enyo shares with their predominantly female-led submission-only jiu jitsu events.
The spaces on the course are being offered for FREE to any female BJJ practitioners who may be wishing to become a referee, learn more about competition rules, or simply brush up on their knowledge. By improving your knowledge it will help you and your team at competitions, by becoming a referee you provide greater representation for your peers on the mats and pave the way for more women to follow.

Perfect for anyone wishing to referee at BJJ tournaments, competitors, or anyone simply wishing to  improve their knowledge of the rules

This course is perfect for anyone wishing to referee at BJJ tournaments, competitors or anyone simply wishing to  improve their knowledge of IBJJF rules.

Those attending will have the option to take a theory exam to attain a Level 3 refereeing qualification.

The course will involve a mixture of theory and practical work. You are not going to be sat down all day listening to a lecture, please be prepared to take an active role on the course. Bring a gi, pens/pencils and notepads/paper. Please make sure you download and study the IBJJF rulebook before attending!

All grades are very welcome, but only blue belts and above will be able to sit the exam and progress to the qualification.

Instructor: Marcelo Coppa, UKBJJA Head Referee, 4th degree black belt, IBJJF referee, Head referee of CBJJE.
