INVITATION TO APPLY FOR UKBJJA BOARD & COUNCIL ROLES

The United Kingdom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association formally invites members to apply for positions on its Board of Directors and Council, ahead of its elections in October.

The election will see new voluntary representatives take the helm of the UKBJJA to lead the organisation through its next four years. If you are appropriately qualified and/or experienced and are passionate about shaping the future of Brazilian jiu jitsu in the United Kingdom, please apply below.

What happens next?
All applications will be vetted and processed for eligibility, with the qualifying candidates announced in early October, when voting opens to member clubs.
The election results will be announced at the UKBJJA’s 2025 AGM on 26 October 2025, online.

 

ROLES FOR ELECTION

Board of Directors
Representatives are required for the following positions on the UKBJJA’s Board of Directors:

  • Chairman or Chairwoman
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Regional Development Directors (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland,
    Wales)
  • Principal Council Officer.

Councillors
The elections will also see the appointment of sub-regional Council representatives
for:

  • North of England
  • South of England
  • London
  • Midlands
  • Northern Scotland
  • Southern Scotland.

Specialised Council Officer roles open to election include (but not exclusively) those
for:

  • National Junior Developmentr
  • Universities
  • Armed Forces
  • Chair of Women’s Committee
  • Disability Inclusion
  • Elite Performance
  • Welfare and Equality
