Vacancy – Regional Director Wales

We are looking for a new Director to represent Wales on the Board of Directors of the UKBJJA.

This is an elected position, with candidates voted on by UKBJJA member clubs at an EGM to be called on in January 2021 (date TBC). The successful candidate will hold the post for a four-year term.

The Regional Director is responsible for growing the sport of BJJ in Wales and representing the interests of all Welsh member clubs and individuals. In addition, the Director has a voice and vote on the Board of Directors. For details of the structure of the UKBJJA, please refer to the constitution. The Regional Director will be expected to attend one (virtual) Board meeting per month, as well as communicate on a regular basis with the Board, Council and CEO.

The process: candidates should nominate themselves by 21 December and include a brief biography and statement of intent (max 500 words for each), explaining their vision for the future of BJJ in Wales and the wider UK and practical steps they would like to implement to drive the vision forward.

The candidates’ biographies and statements will be published on the UKBJJA website and social media profiles for a minimum period of 14 days, and will also be distributed via email to all member clubs. The election will take place at an EGM scheduled for January 2021 (date TBC). Every UKBJJA member club may cast one vote and the election will be decided by a simple majority of votes cast.
