The UKBJJA appoints Wayne Samways as the new Development Officer for Wales.
The United Kingdom Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association (UKBJJA) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Wayne Samways as the new Welsh Development Officer. Wayne, a highly accomplished black belt and esteemed instructor at the renowned MAT Academy, brings a wealth of expertise and a profound passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to his role.
In his capacity as Welsh Development Officer, Wayne Samways will join forces with the esteemed Welsh Director, Omied Jalalian-Khakshour from Two Four Martial Arts, as well as our dedicated Safeguarding Lead, Aaron Vickers from Saru/Draig BJJ. Together, this dynamic trio will spearhead the growth and advancement of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Wales, working in close collaboration with Neil Williams, Chair of UKBJJA.
The UKBJJA is elated to welcome Wayne to this pivotal position within our organization, expanding our already formidable team of diligent council members and board members. This appointment signifies yet another step forward for the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community in Wales and the entire United Kingdom.
